Sumario: Children's learning is a fundamental responsibility of the family, but nowadays this responsibility is delegated completely to the school, disassociating the parents of this process. That is why this research seeks to analyze the relationship between a family’s lifestyle and children’s learning of Second grade Primary School "A" at the Educational Unit Anna Eleonor Roosevelt in Capelo, Pichincha. One seeks to identify the type of family and how this one influences the development of the infant, being the fundamental basis for the development of any learning. Understood within the "Systematic Family Theory", the family is a living and open system that gives and receives information; its structure resists to the influence of other systems, such as the school, the neighborhood, the media, culture, etc. At some other point in the research the theory of the family styles is mentioned which indicates the relationship among the members of the family. An analysis of theories of learning it is also performed, with its most outstanding representatives, such as Jean Piaget with his Theory of Cognitive Development, David Ausubel with the Theory of Meaningful Learning and Lev Vygotsky, with the Social Development Theory. These theories indicate us how student access knowledge and how they obtain a meaningful learning. The characteristics of 6-7 year-olds are considered in different areas of development, such as: physical, cognitive, social, motor skills, intellectual, and emotional.
