The project was evaluated to solve the problems of the parish, improving the existing
water system and redesigning loas drinking falencia each stage of the system in the
parish San José Mine, located in Canton Quito Pichincha province.
The evaluation was started with a field visit to the parish and generate a population
census to know what people are going to solve, also it began with the hydraulic
evaluation to each element of the hydraulic system and determining the calculations
of flows design for a projected 30-year life in order to detect weaknesses in the
overall system.
Uptake Padre Encantado is a good water supply system to meet the needs for the
population.
The second acquisition Gumalpi to hydraulic level also meets the needs, the uptake
rules governing the EPMAPS-Q was designed as this collection is very simple
without any design.
The pipeline and distribution network if they meet the standards EPMAPS-Q and
storage tanks are in a good number fitness as hydraulic and existing tanks are too
large for the population estimated at 30 years with the ensure the provision of water
to the population.
It was proposed as a solution to change some pipes in the distribution network as in
shaping the current system has high pressures at the nodes and low speeds in the
15
pipes so valves was increased breaks pressures and holes reduced to regularize and
be approved in the Department of Design EPMAPS-Q.
