Sumario: This work developed at the "Chilibulo" treatment plant, located in the city of Quito, Pichincha province, aims to evaluate the purification system of the plant, which is a conventional type with fast mixing, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration and disinfection processes. It captures the raw water adduction LLOA system. As part of the study of the plant is performed a statistical analysis with the data of color and turbidity, collected from the archives of the plant of the year 2012 to 2016, to determine the probability of occurrence. The purpose of this work is to determine the hydraulic performance of treatment units: fast mixing, flocculation and settler, the test is it performed with the help of tracers, where is evaluated: the type of flow that occurs in each unit, dead zones, and shorts. Filtering evaluates: the washing process, the filter bed and races of filtration. The efficiency of the disinfection is performed with the measurement of residual chlorine at the exit of the new distribution tank. The results of this evaluation of the treatment system, will serve as information to decide what improvements are possible the efficiency of the system and carry out a project of improvement of the units will be obtained or such as the expansion of the treatment plant.
