Sumario: This research work has been developed with a sample composed of teenagers from 16 to 19 years of age who have social anxiety, the Nacional Experimental "Amazonas" high school students, enrolled in the second year of high school. He was an intervention in group mode, with a homogeneous group. At the beginning of the investigation has been delimited and defined social anxiety and its manifestations in different areas: social, academic, and family. Subsequently has been linked with adolescent Social anxiety and treatment trends have been included. Throughout the research into clinical practice, different techniques of cognitive behavioural approach have been applied to study the effects of this type of intervention in the selected population. Within the contents that have been developed, there are basic concepts about the techniques of cognitive - behavioural as: cognitive restructuring, relaxation training and social abilities training.
