The Company IIP (Insumos Industriales Proaño), is a company that based their service on the sale of steels and bronzes for machining, for these they make cuts at request of their clients, The IIP company have many cutters of circular and reciprocating cutters. The KASTO EBS 320 AU Automatic hacksaw, though the adaptation of electronic and electrical equipment, achieved a machine that allows multiple cuts without the need of an operator to supervise the measurement or the cutting process. The implementation of the automation in the hacksaw, made by the company IIP guarantees a margin of error in each of the pieces cut, avoiding a waste of material, reducing economic losses for the company. Additionally, the automation process contributed to the reduction of the cutting times, this way optimizing the working time of the machine. The automation process of the hacksaw through a controller also allows eliminate the excessive wiring due to the use of electromechanical elements such as timers, contactors, pushbuttons and switches.
HMI facilitates the operation of the hacksaw replacing the switches and pushbuttons with a block of buttons in the graphical interface, improving the interaction between the operator and the machine. The result of the implementation measurement process applying artificial vision contributes to the decrease of staff administrative and warehouse staff at the moment of carrying out the inventory in the company. |
