Sumario: The present technical project will be developed with the purpose of automating a manual copper coil manufacturing machine, based on an artificial vision control. For the automation of this manual machine, a characterization was first performed to know each of the parts necessary for automation such as motors, sensors, controllers, etc. The controllers will be an Arduino Mega card and a Rasphery PI for the part of the control with artificial vision, the system basically controls three stepper motors, in which the first one is in charge of rotating the axis of the machine and the second one will be in charge of guiding the cable in the reel and the third in the correction of the cable in case of an error in the process. The input of data to the system and the visualization will be made from a 4x4 matrix keyboard and a 4X20 LCD respectively, the number of turns and cable gauge is entered. The test control is performed based on an ohmic resistance test and it is verified that there is no loss of cable insulation. For the control in the process of the coils elaboration, a Raspberry PI 3 module will be used together with a camera, which allows to observe the process of construction of the coil and when there is a fault in it, it will stop the process and perform the corrections in the winding process.
