This thesis is based on a qualitative investigation performed in a medium class charter school in the city of Quito. The interest on working on this subject is the result of witnessing the growing number of students living just with one of their parents due to divorce or separation. Most important is that even though there are many investigations about the effects of the parent's divorce and separation on the children, there are very few academic research that prioritize what the adolescents have to say about the matter. In other words, this thesis will disclose the adolescents' expectations after the modification of their family structure. |
