Sumario: This research focuses on the closure of the "Pedro Manuel Umajinga" community school and its impact on the educational process of the Pucaugsha community of the Zumbahua parish. The research was carried out based on the qualitative methodology, with the techniques of observations, surveys, semi-structured interviews, audio recordings and various sources on closed schools, taking into consideration educational, administrative and economic policies, which are sustained in different articles as in the Constitution of the Republic 2008, the Organic Law of Intercultural Education (LOEI) and Educational Ten-Year Plan, this allowed to make a thorough analysis on the subject that was used to obtain the relevant data, was made with the participation of parents, children and teachers, closed school, community authorities. In this way, we were able to obtain the results that allowed us to know the problem that caused the closure of the community school and its impact on the educational process, considering that it affects parents in the economy, students in health, nutrition, transport and causes physical fatigue by getting up early to arrive at the school on time, and the disorganization of the comuneros; All these problems have caused some to leave the study.
