Un Canto a la Vida Hospital and Fundación Tierra Nueva Medical Center actually don’t
have a telephone system according to the new technologies available, the monthly costs
for the payment of invoices of telephone service are considerably higher, limiting calls
made between the areas of health to special or urgent cases.
The development of this technical project is to analyze design and implement a VoIP
system in the Un Canto a la Vida Hospital and Fundación Tierra Nueva Medical Center,
using the existing network infrastructure in the medical institution.
During the progress of the project, the technical investigation of the different components
that will be involved in the design and implementation of VoIP system such as is done: IP
telephony codecs (G.711, G.722, G.723, etc.) , VoIP signaling protocols (SIP, H.323,
IAX), IP phones and softphone applications etc, in addition to the same economic analysis
will allow to solve the communication problems currently presented in the institution, in
addition to publicize the benefits of VoIP telephony.
Following the implementation of an IP-PBX arises using software freely for meeting the
needs of the areas of health, being the most important the cost reduction. |
