Sumario: Since 1990, the rate of disappearance of species around the world, is of a species every day, among other reasons the indiscriminate felling of forest product and the conversion into agricultural land for flower, banana plantations, etc., so there is a need for urgent measures are taken to prevent or avoid it; in this context the present research arises, where It is proposed perform an inventory of the traditional crops of La Esperanza parish in the province of Pichincha, Pedro Moncayo Canton and the implementation of a germplasm bank, in order to encourage the recovery, conservation and consumption of these, which proceeded in the following manner: Through interviews with 85 producers, the traditional crops existing in the parish information was collected and management from the experience of the, then structure the inventory, which contains taxonomic and agronomic information (from local management as well as from technical recommendations of bibliographic sources).
