The research develops an acne lotion with essential oil of lemongrass Cymbopogon citratus (DC) STAPF, POACEAE, under guidelines of the national and international law, which allows obtaining a product considered stable and safe. The formulation is established based on a full factorial design with two factors and three levels, taking as variables the ingredients that affect the organoleptic of the lotion, in this case: : emollient to 60, 50, 35%, the surfactant to 15, 10, 5%, and in two runs or repetitions using a variation in the vehicle, which if it does not affect the characteristics of the lotion, could affect the antibacterial action of the active ingredient, the first repetition is used as a vehicle denatured alcohol at 20%, and in the second run denatured alcohol at a concentration of 10%. The constant ingredient in all formulations is the essential oil of lemongrass Cymbopogon citratus at concentration of 5%, which has demonstrated anti-acne efficiency. In addition to the 18 resulting formulations of experimental design, a nonalcoholic formulation was made that would be the Blank (B), and would permit to relate the bactericidal action performed with this ingredient. |
