The purpose of this work was to develop an Emergency Plan and environmental
contingencies in the Thermoelectric Gualberto Hernandez (Quito Electric Company).
This inspection was conducted by the Gualberto Hernandez Thermoelectric, in order to
identify, analyze and evaluate all the environmental risks to which the center is exposed
and determine the prevention actions needed, control and mitigate the best way the risks
involved and be able to have more secure facilities to allow normal operations
continuity, without compromising worker´s safety and health, in which the lack of an
emergency plan and adequate contingency was evident.
When measuring all identified environmental risks, the earthquake risk, volcanic
eruption risk and fire risk are a high-risk weighting change flood risk, landslide and
subsidence and storm and gale is a weighting low risk
Having an emergency plan and environmental contingencies is adequate and important
way to prevent loss of life, health injuries, Wildlife lost depreciation in the electricity
generated and pollution to natural disasters.
It is concluded that the plan is a basic tool for all types of organizations seeking
continuous improvement and concerning for the safety and health of workers. |
