This paper explains the Environmental Impact Study and Environmental
Management Plan of the irrigation water use for the community of Pisambilla, it
comes from the high slopes of Cangahua which is located in the province of
Pichincha, Cayambe’s Canton Cangahua’s Parish.
Pisque River Watershed is located in the Cayambe’s canton to 3560 above sea level
and its area is 2318.45 ha, in this Sub-watershed is located Rondococha River, which
is the object of this study. The Water Secretariat (SENAGUA) through the
Esmeraldas Hydrographic Demarcation has granted the concession of water
resources uses for application in agriculture 86.82 ltr. / Sec. for Pisambilla.
Pisambilla, for being close to the Andean highlands of Cayambe have an extensive
flora and wildlife: natural forests, artificial grass and large areas of short-term crops,
this is home of animals such as: condors, spectacled bear, fox wasteland, rabbits,
squirrels, etc. and, because it is a project that demands stripping vegetation,
construction, operation, maintenance and closure of the project, they will also be
affected or intervened abiotic factors such as soil, water and air.
Then proceed to evaluate each of these different environmental factors with technical
criteria, both positive and negative regarding the magnitude, impact, duration,
mitigability and quantify the impacts that will be caused to the environment began to
develop a environmental management plan to minimize them, and thus, achieve
sustainability of the project.
The environmental management plan was developed to meet targets to help reduce
and environmental impacts generated by each one of the activities called into
question, and likewise exist indicators and means of verification reports issued by the
institution responsible for this work will help to measure progress, effectiveness,
control, monitoring and compliance with the management plan and in turn the
project. |
