The present work is aimed to carry out the technical studies for the provision of a drinking water system for the residents of the community of Río Chico, located in the Sucre cantón, in the Province of Manabí, fulfilling with current standards and technical specifications in quantity and quality, according to valid Ecuadorian norms. The present infrastructure has already reached its useful life, and currently this service does not meet the demand of the population, therefore; a replacement of the entire distribution network must be made.
The design alternative includes elements of catchment, pipeline conduction, two pump systems, a treatment plant (sand trap, sedimentation and filtration), reservoir and the distribution system. Each component was designed in accordance with Ecuadorian regulations for drinking water supply systems in rural areas – (SENAGUA, by its Spanish acronym).
In addition, the project considers the technical specifications necessary for its execution, so as to guarantee quality in the construction processes, as well as the quality of the materials.
Finally, it incorporates the referential work budget that takes into account all the costs of construction, operation, and maintenance of the project, together with the valued schedule, which will serve to control the progress of the work. |
