Sumario: The present study aims to evaluate the factors that influence group cohesion at the Salesian Polytechnic University, situated in Quito, based on the results obtained after the application of the Navarra’s Test, in which a high level of cohesion was determined with an overall score of 9. The study focuses on the administrative staff who got a 12. This score is categorized as Adequate according to the Navarra’s Test. In this study we analyze the factors that influence group cohesion of the administrative department, using descriptive research and correlation methods. Descriptive research allows knowing which are the factors involved in group cohesion, while correlational method let us realize how they are related. Tools used in data collection include: interviews with managers and surveys performed to the administrative staff. These tools allow to obtain information necessary for the study. After data collection, they were tabulated and analyzed to know which the variables are, and determine their predominance. This analysis concluded that factors such as leadership and decision making, group activities, activities in which workers relates to members of other areas, types of interdependence, institutional goals, attractive and similarity between members, are the features that have greater influence on the high level of cohesion, because they had higher positive percentages in relation to other factors, and thus take decisions to strengthen cohesion.
