Sumario: The Project was developed in the Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social, in the human talent area, in the sub- system of performance evaluation. The goal of this intervention was make an improvement plan of the performance evaluation process, in order to get an optimum fulfillment. A probe was applied in order to comply the main objective, through the application of surveys, in this way was determined how the evaluation of performance is managed in this institution, and it was found that it complies the stablished parameters in the valid legal normative that controls the public sector, however, this normative is stablished in a general way in the country, and it is not specific for each area. It has been propounded three alternatives in order to make the process be effective: elaborating internal politics to the performance evaluation sub-system, helping make guides to don’t deviate of the main objectives and creating awareness about the importance of evaluating; the flow chart creation showed a suitable process, it was exclusive to the performance evaluation area and not too general as the national level process. Ultimately it was created a performance evaluation only to people who are controlled by the actual Código de Trabajo, these people are not evaluated because there isn’t a legal normative that demands numerate the activities they do.
