The project involves the production of a documentary video in which the reality of
theater Drag Queen shows in the city of Quito, presenting as a case study to Dionisios
Theatre Drag, focusing on audiovisual product in the artistic development thereof
within the city and the career of its director Playwright Daniel Moreno. The
documentary will be named "Cuerpos Ausentes", as it is the metaphorical relationship
was found between the drag actor and his personification, as a sign of impersonation
that the actor is subject in each show, to give life to his other self, which it is also. the
elements of theater Drag Queen externalized in each interview actors who tell us from
your perspective what it means to them the Drag Queen theater born ?, how each of
your characters? And how the performance is built within the LGBTI community?
Within the scenario the artist Drag, with its parodic representation and colloquial
language, approaches his audience, talks about his reality, problems, experiences,
questions the standards of aesthetics and sexuality and becomes a space of complaint
to a company limited by heterosexuals, themes that are evident in the excerpts from
the plays that have been included in the documentary. With the collaboration of
academic professionals it is to explain the position of a heterosexual society to an artist
Drag and what is their role in the media and quiteña’s art. |
