Sumario: This project is based on the development of a machine to round edges of wooden handles for agricultural tools, designed to different fields of agricultural application tools of Ecuador, in order to lighten the production process and ensure better product performance in the field. For the development of the machine and compliance program objectives, four chapters are exposed. Chapter 1 argues the theoretical part of the machine, where the rules and guidelines for the realization of the appropriate design, argued by the generalities of wood and standards that support the selection of the mechanical elements of a machine-tool are described. Chapter 2 presents the ideal result of design alternatives, detailed in a timely and empowered according to comparison parameters. The design and calculations, correspond to Chapter 3, in which data and theoretical equations attend rigorous calculation, in order to present concise and admissible mechanical elements of the machine, for optimum performance results. Chapter 4, reference to the costs involved in the development and achievement of the machine, driven by an analysis that determines the final cost of the investment recovery. Thus, results, supporting the implementation of the selected machine-tool systems, consequently improves performance processing of edges in wooden handles, with a renewed and completely safe process, was obtained.
