The potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) is native of the Andes Region. In Ecuador, Carchi is
the most representative province with 32% of production. The IOP`s (Organophosphorus
Insecticides) such as Chlorpyrifos, are agrochemicals mostly used by potato farmers. The
objective is to evaluate the biodegradation efficiency of an organophosphorus insecticide
in potato soil samples by the application of Trichoderma harzianum and Pleurotus
ostreatrus. The work was carried out in two phases: field and laboratory. In this work it
was used a DCA with four treatments (Soil sample with Pleurotus ostreatus, T2: soil
sample with Trichoderma harzianum, T3: Soil sample with Pleurotus ostreatus and
Trichoderma harzianum) and four replicates. In addition, ADEVAS was used with a
Tuckey of 5% for variables with significance. T3 was the best treatment with 66.80% of
biodegraded insecticide through the enzymatic processes of each applied fungi as the use
of P-450 enzymes in Trichoderma harzianum and the Shikimato Route in Pleurotus
ostreatus incorporing the insecticides to their metabolic processes.
It was accepted the alternative hypothesis that establishes that the biodegradation of an
IOP in soil samples of potato cultivation is possible by the application of Trichoderma
harzianum and Pleurotus ostreatrus. Therefore, bioremediation is a much more effective
and efficient tool than the more expensive and inefficient, physical-chemical conventional
processes. |
