Sumario: This document systematizes the results of vocational and professional orientation work, carried out with students from the first to third year of high school with special educational needs associated with intellectual disability, who study at the Unidad Educativa "Emaús Fe y Alegría", to promote a conscientious decision about the future job or work, based on the motivations, interests and individual capacities of each participant. For the evaluation of these factors, two questionnaires were used: The Oliveros II Test and the Thurstone Motivational and Interests Test. The process of diagnosis, orientation and training was carried out in a group way, based on the contributions of Williamson's Theory of Traits and Factors (1965), also known as the Minnesota school, because it emphasizes the diagnostic and strengthening character interests, motivations, desires, skills and abilities, on which a decision for a specific vocation or profession would depend.
