This project aims to implement a machine in the process of manual removal of starch from cassava, the same that causes a low performance in the production. There will be a description of the processing of cassava, for the obtaining of the starch, being an applicable product in the food and non-food industry. The productive process consists of several stages of operation, such as: manual stripping, scratched, manual removal and drying. The study focused on the extraction phase that is the separation solute-fluid, for the development of the proposed topic is part of a principle of agitation centrifuge, designing a perforated drum that slowly turn at a constant speed, for internally mixed ground grated cassava with the water and to remove or filter the starch, taking into account aspects such as feasibility, practicality, quality and better performance. Principles and theoretical foundations of machine design will be explored, as the process is food is selected for its stainless steel construction. The mechanism of removing centrifuge consists of main parts such as the structure no supporting walls a drive system and the system of agitation, complying with the proposed objectives in the improvement of a manual process. |
