The aging process should be recognized as part of the development of the single, this means that must take the old age as a stage in which the human being is still experiencing, feeling , learning as in the previous stages; this premise raised by the theory of the course of life, contributes to the general knowledge of the aging process and explicitly about active aging as a policy proposed by the World Health Organization (WHO ), who has been the universal institution concerned with this population phenomenon that has brought significant impact economically, socially and culturally. The life cycle theory suggests that the aging process is not an event that occurs at a certain stage of life, is present in the human life from conception until death. The recommendations proposed by the WHO raised contribute to the theory and indicate that active aging is the process of maximizing the opportunities for physical, mental and social well-being throughout life. |
