In this context, the objective of this work is to study the configuration of social networks and the perception of social support, from these networks, of older adults in the San Vicente group of the Yaruquí parish, between February and August 2016. It is a quantitative and descriptive research, using as instruments to obtain data: the Scale of Social Support Networks for Older Adults (ERASAM), and the social support questionnaire of the Medical Outcomes Study (MOS); Instruments that facilitated the description of the networks configuration: size, density, types of support, degree of satisfaction and perceived social support. The studied group consisted of 30 older adults, men and women, over 60 years old, members of the San Vicente neighborhood group, who voluntarily consented to participate.
