In this titling work, the study of the sociolinguistic situation of the vitality of the Kichwa in the community of Pambamarca was carried out. An attempt was made to find out the reasons for the devaluation of the Kichwa language, affecting society itself. Through interviews, surveys and observations it was determined that the Kichwa language is being lost as it is not continuously spoken. In order to carry out the sociolinguistic study of the vitality of the Kichwa, other investigations were analyzed to carry out the theoretical concepts, in which we found studies of sociolinguistics and the efforts that have been made since years ago in the attempts for recovery, and the strengthening of the ancestral language. Techniques and instruments were proposed to this work to gather information applied to the members of the community. Through notes obtained in this research it is verified that in the community there is a devaluation of the Kichwa language by the community's inhabitants. It was found that for the time being in the community there is still the Kichwa language and it is still alive in the elderly. However, the children of this community are not being taught. With this background, some strategies for strengthening the ancestral language of the community are proposed. |
