The 2008 Constitution positions the planning and public policy as instruments for achieving the objectives of the " Buen Vivir " and the guarantee of rights. According to the Constitution, the planning aims to contribute to social, territorial equity and promote the agreement. For this, it should take as a priority the eradication of poverty, the promotion of sustainable development, and equitable redistribution of resources and wealth, as fundamental conditions to achieve the " Buen Vivir ".
Taking into account these significant aspects of constitutional reform, is that Ecuador in the last seven years, has made great strides in terms of social investment, in terms of the expansion of coverage and quality of health services, education, nutrition, economic and social inclusion, and secure habitat protection, among other things, showing thus, the political will of the Government of the to transform the lives of the people especially the priority groups. |
