Mashua is native to the central Andes, is found in Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. It has medicinal properties because of its high nutritional value protein, carbohydrates, fiber and calories, so it is used in the pharmacy industry as antibiotic prostate diseases, urinary gene diseases, anemia, among others.
According to recent studies much of the early male population contracts the disease of prostatitis, which if not properly treated, it degenerates into prostate cancer. According to the Ecuadorian Society against Cancer (SOLCA), the likelihood of developing prostate cancer in Ecuador is 17%. Why the feasibility of offering a natural product like nectar mashua to treat this dangerous disease was studied. |
