Sumario: The objective of this research is to identify the pedagogical model used by the teacher of the Don Bosco Institution, in the 4-year parallel basic education classroom "A". Similarly seeks to know the pedagogical model applied by the institution to improve the teaching-learning processes of children. It also describes the main characteristics of the pedagogical model used by the teacher, as well as the teaching resources, methodology and evaluation of learning, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the model used by the fourth year teacher of basic education. This work is based on a theoretical framework that explains the definition of pedagogical model, classification of the models, and foundations of the national curriculum. As determined by the Titration Center of the Salesian Polytechnic University we proceeded to observe the classes in the classroom for several days, using a field diary of indirect observation, personal interviews were also conducted with the vice chancellor of the educational institution and the teacher to know the characteristics of the applied model. Finally, it concludes with the analysis of results and a comparison between the pedagogical models proposed by the current curriculum with the institution and the classroom.
