Sumario: The research work presents the perspective of the indigenous family in the development and protagonism of intercultural bilingual education in the indigenous community Pacto Fourth lot of the parish of Cangahua, province: Pichincha. The objective was to know the expectations that the parents have of the indigenous context in the education of their children. Collecting information from the interview and non-participatory observation to parents and indigenous authorities to analyze and obtain updated information. The study was carried out starting from the obtaining of the authorization for the entrance to the community by the pertinent authorities. Subsequent non-participatory observations and interviews were conducted with parents and authorities of the indigenous community. Finally, it is concluded that the expectations of the indigenous family are that the children achieve personal and professional improvement, that education is aimed at meeting the needs of both individuals and the community, and that this preparation is put at the service of community. It is also evident that the indigenous community has high self-esteem and appreciation of their culture.
