Sumario: This project aims to design and construction of a linear stamping machine in the footwear industry, to facilitate the process of cutting the leather used in the manufacture of sports shoes. For the project, they have been carried out the activities listed below, considering the most relevant to achieve the objectives. First, a theoretical collection of fundamental concepts and procedures for the execution of work. In addition the selection of alternatives and decision matrix was raised was performed. In the theoretical framework, the reader is presented the current situation of the company regarding the process leather cutting in shoemaking. The selection of alternatives presents the study of the various options available for the cutting process and what are the most used by shoe manufacturers today. The best alternative that meets the needs and requirements is chosen. Subsequently, the design of the punch is performed, in which the necessary technical information and the respective calculations for each item is detailed. In addition, the economic analysis of the project arises, the same refers to the total costs of the construction of the punch and verification of the feasibility of the project by calculating the NPV and IRR. Finally, the process of construction and assembly of each and every one of the parts that make the die cutter is detailed.
