This article is intended to provide empirical verification of the relationship between the organizational culture of a business and its performance. For this, a study was made of 60 medium- and high-technology SMEs in Cali, Colombia. The results show that the clan-type cultures and the innovation-type cultures have a positive impact on business performance, while the hierarchical type has a negative one. These results reinforce the theory that organizational culture is a decisive factor in achieving business competitiveness, and will be most useful to businessmen themselves, and for organizations that promote their knowledge and development, including development organizations and the academic sector. |
