Sumario: In Ecuador there are different cultures each of them with different characteristics, which throughout history have not been taken into account in the educational field, why have combined efforts between indigenous communities and non-governmental organizations to develop programs that help them cope with the situation of inequality that have been exposed. The Salesian Polytechnic University (UPS), with the purpose of supporting the fairness of the marginalized sectors has organized some careers to professionalize indigenous groups, such as: the career of Bilingual Intercultural education with different terms, including basic teaching. The professionalization program was first executed in the community of Zumbahua-Cotopaxi, then moved to Latacunga for reasons of access, then spread to places like: Cayambe and Wasak-entsa, Riobamba, Otavalo, creating centers of support for groups requiring it. In Otavalo is existing Intercultural bilingual basic teaching, which has high demand and here has professionalized several people of whom some work as teachers, many of them in rural areas of the canton, therefore wanted to know their experience in contexts of indigenous predominance and how the race has supported its development, this has made that we elect to know about the history of the UPS and EIB professionals and its impact in the field of education, in this case, in the parish of San Pablo de Lago in the province of Imbabura.
