The following research studies about the graduated teachers’ professionalization from the Bilingual Intercultural Education career of Politécnica Salesiana University and its incidence in the educational sites in Miguel Egas Cabezas (Peguche) parish.
This project starts with historical elements about the indigenous education before and after the Colonial conquest, at the same time it considers relevant data about how the peasant indigenous organization in XX century start an alternative education process so that liberate towns from the explotation, oppression, exclusion and privation they were victims in that time.
Making a reflexive analyzes about the fight of the language and culture revaluation throught own educational process which pop up in the Confederación de Nacionalidades Indígenas del Ecuador (CONAIE), in 1988 is created the Dirección Nacional de Educación Intercultural Bilingüe (DINEIB) also in 1995 is created the Programa Académico Cotopaxi (PAC) as an idea of the Politécnica Salesiana University (PSU) jointly with the Sistema de Escuelas Indígenas de Cotopaxi (SEIC) which became as Bilingual Intercultural Education career.
Taking into account that events; we develop the field research in the communities and parish in Miguel Egas Cabezas (Peguche) together the graduated teachers from our career and helper center from Otavalo. The research purpose is to show achievements, difficulties, challenges and the level of the incidence that generate in the work places |
