This project had the aim to develop a social responsibility guide based on the ISO 26000 standards for the company ALEM Cia. Ltda. In this project we investigated the organization performing socially responsible activities sporadically, so running an interview with the senior providing results in the acceptance of the application of a mechanism of social responsibility.
The purpose of the guide is to incorporate social responsibility the company to a changing environment whose main base support sustainable development through active involvement with the community, environment, employees, stakeholders (customers, suppliers and consumers) taking into account the respect for human rights, improving the ethical conduct among competitors; profiting on the importance and strengthening corporate image.
The application of social responsibility allows the company to initiate partnerships with socially responsible entities that can get national and international recognition to improve the positioning and prestige of the institution.
A strength obtained by the company exercising social responsibility is the cost savings that wins in return to improve environmental practices with decreased consumption of water and electricity, and increase their income by applying recycling systems.
In conclusion the guidance of social responsibility benefits the company and its environment while maintaining equity and strengthening sustainable development. |
