Sumario: This work concerns systematizing experience that was gained through educating and coaching ninth year students at the EGB Carpentry and Industrial Mechanical of the Talleres Escuela San Patricio, where the aim was to promote motivation which is intrinsic to learning in these students. Systemization provides a model of Coaching applicable to this type of education and in turn, provides the ability for analysis and reflection on the success or failure of the process. Process intervention, both group and individual, with each of the students formed part of the project. Individual quantitative factors were interpreted, including the impact of the following three components on each student: self-concept, self-efficacy and study habits and techniques. Also the incidences of the above three components were discussed as a group identifying the elements that influenced positive changes and factors that acted as antagonists. In conclusion, the project had a favorable impact enabling students, to articulate the psychological dimension and the pedagogical dimension. This is a significant intervention because of the concept that the individual students is an integral part of a social system, family and school.
