Sumario: This case study is a research work in the city of Quito in the Educational Unit "New Spring" Initial classroom education II, with children 4 years, which is the observation of teaching practice during two months in the field of oral and written expression, for which the method is qualitative because it allows us to have a relationship with the authors of research to thereby gather precise and accurate information required, as a technique was used the as an instrument of observation and data collection sheets observation and a field diary; and it made based on some specific aspects that allow us to observe better teaching practice because it contains parameters such as planning, teaching-learning, work organization of the learning experience, assessment strategies, the teacher - student interaction in the learning experience and the types of academic assignments, all these aspects will allow to know the daily work in the classroom. Whose purpose is to analyze and understand the teaching practice and describe the teaching-learning introduction to literacy in early childhood education II; It contains the theoretical contributions that support the development of reading and writing stages and levels that allow teachers to know and apply them according to the needs of each child, taking into account their age.
