This paper is entitled: "Social representations about the school. Case study in the school 'Ana Paez' parish Eloy Alfaro ".
Social representations are the "figures and" common sense that people have about a social object. This object in our case is related to the school, a social entity created to organize 'knowledge and skills of human beings.
The study was conducted in the parish Eloy Alfaro city of Latacunga, in the school of basic education Ana Paez. The exploration of social representations was made to the main actors of the educational community, who face the educational experience.
The present study presents the social representation characterized by teachers, students and mothers and parents about the school, in relation to past and present, about the events that have marked his life, in fact, the goal of this research is describe those representations.
The results obtained by conducting interviews allow participants to conclude that the rules for its function of regulating coexistence in school are represented. They are regarded as an object of teaching and learning only in the first year of schooling or the beginning of the school year. Individual positions differ as in the case of the relationship of parents with students and teachers. |
