This research analyzes the social representations of parents in the education system.
Reminiscent of what has been the Ecuadorian educational system, which is analyzed
separately to bilingual intercultural education system and the Spanish education
system, the schools studied are located in the two systems. Displayed more
difficulties strengths is made the two systems, but particularly the neglect from the
state education system.
It analyzes the current educational system, changes, and improvements particularly
in curricular organization, content of education, training of teachers and the school's
relationship with parents. In this part, it displayed the Ecuadorian educational system
from the implementation of the new law of intercultural education is in a process of
change, but also the resistance and conformity of some actors are also displayed.
Parents and mothers of the schools in the study interviews were met and their impressions
about the school system, particularly in relation to participation in school life. |
