Sumario: The present project includes a set of civil works that allow to take advantage of the flow of the Machinaza river, 18.4 km downstream of its crossing with the Zamora river, so that the demand of the energy user is satisfied with 95% guarantee in volume and time. The main structures, designed at the level of feasibility, that are part of the hydroelectric project are the following: A concrete dam with landfill and two gravity-blind dams that meet conditions of stability to sliding and resistance, these are separated by concrete walls. The design of a construction tunnel to deviate the river during the execution period and a drain current and / or ecological use located on one of the dividing walls is planned; For its part, the hydraulic system comprises a work of taking, a tunnel of load of 5,12 km of length, an equilibrium chimney of 83m of height and a pressure pipe of 816,2m that will lead the flow to the engine underground room located on the left bank of the river. The hydroelectric power station has 3 generation units with Pelton turbines, established for a flow of 9.86 m3 / s, as well as generators and transformers in equal quantity. The installed capacity is 120.56 MW and annually will generate 1056.08 GWh with an installation factor of 1. The turbinated flows discharge in the Zamora river through a tunnel of discharge of 1563m of length.
