The present document systematizes a project of intervention that originates in
the necessity raised by the teachers of the San Patricio Educational Unit, who
manifested the difficulty in finding a methodological alternative that allows them to
attend to and respond to the needs of the educative population that they have, which
is made up of children and teens living in poverty and at risk situations.
Because Perkins School for the Blind (2006) mentions that the Functional
Ecological Perspective works on the basis of the National Curriculum, incorporates
students' participation in their own functional activities at their chronological age and
respects the rhythm and learning style of each person, it was considered a viable
option to be implemented in the learning process of this educational center.
In this way, a first phase was developed with training workshops to the
institution's teachers, in order to know the theoretical basis and the application of the
Ecological Functional approach in the classroom.
Then, in a second phase, the teacher of Second Cycle was advised to
elaborate a group plan according to the approaches of this perspective, and apply it in
the process of teaching learning with its class group.
Finally, the achievements of a comparative analysis of the results before and
after the implementation of the project were evidenced. |
