This case study shows the pedagogical models determined for the Basic General Education of Ecuador according to the curricular reform of 2016, in particular in the Private Educational Unit of the city of Quito. Therefore, an inquiry is made regarding the pedagogical model that the Marist institution applies in the education of the Quito - based children 's society, as well as the appropriate, feasible and pertinent use of methodologies, resources and ways to evaluate during the process of Teaching - learning. The sampling was done to 3 teachers and 15 students.
All recommended procedures are applied and a structured interview plus observation is used as techniques and instruments for data collection, applied to teachers and students. With these actions we obtain valid and reliable results that, after being analyzed and interpreted, allow us to reach conclusions in the study such as:
The educational model applied by the institution's teachers during their periods of classes is a fusion of the constructivist, cognitive and traditionalist schools.
The institution strengthens existing educational practices supported by its own style as a particular model of Marist institutions.
In the present paper we will find the theoretical basis of reference to glimpse the pedagogical models of education. The methodology used by the teachers in their classrooms and how they are used the different pedagogical tools within the educational task. Finally, the analysis of the results obtained in the data collection and how they relate to the national curricular proposals. |
