ANDRADE CARLOS MARIN The hospital is in need of a steam supply system that allows you to fulfill your requirements to serve the personnel entering the same in the areas of laundry drying, cooking sterilization operating rooms provision of hot water and other complementary requirements raise the need for a redesign of the steam distribution network is determined. The present study describes the theory of the generation of steam for heating by steam and all the applications can have on the industrial area, for it must know the basics of water vapor the states in which it is located and the advantages of using this steam as the steam distribution by a major network and a secondary network to steam all the necessary parameters and calculation methods for the design thereof is made. A primary or secondary steam network has own accessories for their operation and some of them are a reducing bank valves and steam traps are used when there is a network of condensate return and components necessary for the proper sizing and selection diameter of the system . All steam network must have adequate security for its operation so it also has selection parameters for good thermal insulation pipe joint expansion joints and corresponding packaging accessories. It is understood that the system must operate at 100 % efficiency but in reality it is not, in these systems have friction losses and pressure so it is necessary to calculate these losses and reflect an economic factor for how to improve this system. The second chapter shows the current steam system which is working in various landmarks in addition to its performance capabilities and some technical features the steam generation system the boiler and the type of fuel used, the steam distribution capacity and as the grid is the area of operating rooms and sterilization substation also to develop the calculation of steam consumption of each team in operation, using factors such as the Reynolds number and Darcy for grasping losses of the system being analyzed . Accessories that are in the system network and condensate return system sizing trapping all applicable accessories are collecting leg throttle steam filter etc. are essential in order to minimize system losses .

The third chapter determines the diameter of redesigning the main network the reducing bank dimensioned so that work on the necessary operating ranges as well as network condensate return in order to take advantage of all the steam possible and minimize losses. The fourth chapter presents the costs of piping and installation accessories that must be implemented and other resized to the correct operation of the steam mains. |
