Sumario: The Ecuador is a country with a rich ethnic and cultural diversity, a place where indigenous peoples and interact to form minority populations, the same as with the passage of time they adapt to these new learning processes. In recent years a greater appreciation of the rich cultural and linguistic diversity is appreciated, which gave greater recognition to intercultural and bilingual education within the plan of public policies in place. that's why this project, summarizes major themes of intercultural bilingual education throughout its development with its successes and disadvantages and proposes through analysis of school practices in basic education of the educational unit Louis Pasteur, measures improvement succeed in implementing intercultural education, with the ultimate aim to increase the quality of education through the development of individual abilities and potentials that lead to good learning, the use of knowledge, skills, art and culture, as a central axis oriented principles of student development, how cultural diversity can be conceived and addressed in school.
