Sumario: This investigation aimed to analyse the professional practices of rural teachers in the four venues of School Inspection Department IPEBI Union, Fómeque. The narrative method worked with a hermeneutical approach, framed in the qualitative paradigm, using data collection technique: in-depth interviews, non-participant observation and analysis instruments of the story and the log. 9 teachers, hence stories that allowed us to recognize teaching practices in rural schools were built, its context, the conditions of space, resources and subjects were interviewed. The narrative theory of “possible narratives” Bremond (1991) was used for the analysis of the stories by the strategy to identify the functions of the story and opposites such as hard tasks and tasks completed, helpers and opponents practices. In the interpretation phase data triangulation allowed to talk to the voice of the informants, the theoretical framework and the voice of the researchers presented. The findings that emerged give response to the objectives in the investigation. The conclusions presented in the investigation speak of reality in practice exercised rural teachers, and finally some suggestions from the perspective of the researchers.
