This research project is part of the macroproject "Illustrious Colombian Teachers of the 20th Century" and the research line "Saber educativo, pedagógico y didáctico". Within the framework of a qualitative approach of narrative biographical cut, we sought to reconstruct the contributions of teacher Eloísa Vasco Montoya to education in Colombia from the recognition of her life history as a person and professional. To do this, a representative sample of nine key informants was selected based on the following criteria: family, friends, students or alumni and co-workers. As data collection techniques, the in-depth interview and the analysis of documentary materials were used as instruments and the documentary analysis matrix. For the analysis of the information collected, the content analysis method was used. The research findings are related to the three categories that emerged from this analysis: significant facets of Eloísa Vasco's life, his line of thought and his specific contributions to education in Colombia.
