Sumario: This Project titled “Aportes de Agustín Nieto Caballero a la Educación Colombiana” belongs to the researching line “Saber Educativo, Pedagógico y Didáctico” from La Salle University; and at the same time it is inscribed inside the macroporoject “Maestros Ilustres Colombianos del Siglo XX”. The carried out work had as its objective to recognize the educational contributions from Agustin Nieto Caballero to the country. The project had as framework the qualitative research approach. Likewise, belonged to the mentioned approach, the method under which this research was carried out is the Biographic-Narrative method in order to emphasize on an educator‘s life history. The used data collection instruments were two: the documental file, synthetized in a double input matrix, and the in-depth interviews. With the first one, we accessed to the data written by Agustin Nieto Caballero, as well as the one written about him. The second instrument allowed us to collect personal information to make up his life history. The interviews were applied to a total of nine informants; three of them are in-depth. To analyze the collected data the method used was Content Analysis, specifically Distill Data proposed by Fernando Vasquez Rodriguez. The distilling process generated a categorical scheme which was interpreted through the Semiotic-Hermeneutic method. Beyond the research formal inform, the project outcomes will be reflected in the construction of a chronicle which gathers not only the contributions but also the life history of Agustin Nieto Caballero
