Sumario: The paper presents a methodological proposal whose purpose is to promote the development of logical-mathematical thinking, to integrate concepts and to facilitate the acquisition of mathematical skills. It is divided into two parts: the theoretical framework where mathematics and didactic strategies are analyzed. The second part consists of two didactic strategies developed according to the three phases of mathematics (Concrete, Connective, Symbolic) that allow teachers to work in an integrative and playful way with the student. This proposal was born from a research carried out in 2015 by the GIPCYPE group (Research Group on Curricular Policies and Educational Practices) of the Salesian Polytechnic University on the teaching practices of mathematics in Initial and the first years of basic education in three Provinces of Ecuador.
