The formation of the concept of number is fundamental within a cultural context. Within the achuar culture, children learn to know the meaning and the concept of quantity by everyday experiences, in a natural unintentional way, that is, under the guidance of their parents and in their own language. When the children enter the school, they do not know the numbers in their own language and therefore, they are more complicated learning in the Spanish language.
Through this work, it is intended, therefore, to develop a text for the learning of numbers in the language for first-year children of general basic education, organizing some actions that have to do with the cultural context and in their own language.
To prepare the proposal, in the first place a diagnosis was made with the children, a non-participant observation was made and finally interviews were conducted with the parents. Based on these inputs, the methodological proposal was prepared.
The methodological proposal contains a set of 20 activities with practical works of numbers in results for students of the school. They have the purpose of developing the knowledge of the child, through the use of concrete elements of the environment. The activities are organized with the criterion of the simple to the complex. |
