Sumario: Technology has improved a lot during the last year all together with the human development. The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) have quickly entered in the life of human beings; and as a result, they have changed the way in which we do our activities. This change has result paradigmatic in every sense. This is the case in the learning process, the ICT are known because of its broad range in the teaching and learning processes. Taking into consideration the previous explanation, this research answers the question, what is the new trend in learning? To answer this question, it was necessary to know and describe what these new learning tendencies are by using different methods, which allowed to answer the research hypothesis. To come up with an answer, it was relevant to summarize the opportunities that the ICT offer in the learning processes, to allow a wide point of view in its usage and importance, to contrast the possibilities of inserting them in the Ecuadorian context. To conclude, the ICT and its new trends in learning allow a better knowledge production that fits each individual reality but only if they have a pedagogical use.
