Sumario: The present work constitutes the systematization of the intervention program "Strengthening the social skills of students with Down Syndrome of Initiation III of the Triangulo Foundation". The program arises on the basis of the diagnosis of needs made to the group where the poor development of language, motor skills and social skills were identified as the main problems. For this diagnosis, the interview, observation and review of official documents were used as instruments. The objective of the intervention is to improve these problems, for which a system of activities is designed, mainly of playful origin, which includes the joint work between the foundation and the family. The intervention is based on the paradigm of the social model of disability. The main result is the fulfillment of the objectives set for the program, achieving in these children foster social skills that promote their personal development and a better disposition for personal and social autonomy.
