Sumario: Acquired resistance by microorganisms is due to the indiscriminate use of antimicrobials and to the ability to originate mechanisms to adapt to different environments. This problem increases in passing years and research of new antibiotics from natural sources being required, their production is based on secondary metabolism of microorganisms, which may come from soils. The experimental work was focused on the isolation of antibiotic producing strains, physiological and biochemical characterizations were performed and in which it was determined that the strains were: Burkholderia cepacia (PAG C007), Burkholderia cepacia (PAQ C024), Xanthomona maltophilia (PAA C019). Considering pH and temperature parameters, the optimum conditions in the growth kinetics are 30 °C temperature and pH 7 ± 0.2. In susceptibility study technique three strains were selected, and the extracted antibiotic was subjected to infrared spectroscopy, functional groups found were: amino, carbonyl with double bond lateral chain and alkanes, supporting the existence of antimicrobial structures.
